Bundaleer Pipeline Scheme

Bundaleer Pipeline Scheme

What is the project?

We are working towards the development of a new 12 kilometre pipeline and other related infrastructure which will deliver water from the Bundaleer Reservoir.

This project will ensure water for local agribusinesses at an affordable price.

Why is it important?

The Bundaleer Pipeline Scheme will provide an economical source of water to industry in the area.

At full production, the Scheme will provide an extra 275 megalitres a year for agriculture.

This will help create jobs, encourage investment and support the region’s agricultural economic development.

The State Government has committed $3.18 million towards development of the Scheme.

What can I expect?

If Australian Government funding is secured, construction of the Bundaleer Pipeline Scheme is expected to start in 2019.

Works will see the construction of the distribution network, a pump station, storage tanks and a chlorine station.

The community will still be able to access the Bundaleer Reservoir for recreational fishing.
